[Daikin Applied Systems Case Study] Low Temperature Humidification System
A case study of achieving the reproduction and control of temperature and humidity environments below freezing in a large-scale vehicle testing chamber.
The winter heating of EVs (electric vehicles) relies on heat pump operation using outside air as the heat source, which has led to issues caused by frost on the outdoor unit. Therefore, the establishment of sub-zero humidification technology and temperature and humidity control technology, as well as the development of low-temperature humidification technology, has become urgent. As a result, a newly developed hot water pan humidification system has achieved high-precision humidity control. The guaranteed humidity range at sub-zero temperatures (0 to -20°C) has been expanded, and effectiveness measurements have demonstrated successful temperature and humidity control at sub-zero conditions in a real vehicle test chamber with a large space. [Case Overview] ■ Overview: Environmental test chamber, low-temperature humidification system ■ Completion: September 2020 ■ Room dimensions: 6.0m × 14.0m × 3.5mH ■ Room volume: 294.0m³ ■ Temperature: -20°C to +38°C DB ■ Humidity: 30 to 80% RH ■ Internal heat generation: 80kW *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
